Grave Doom

Grave Doom is a 9 level wad for Doom 1 originally developed in the 90s and revamped using Ultimate Doom Builder.

Developed in the spirit of Knee Deep in the Dead but built to be harder. Gameplay is focused on fast paced action, cutting your way through swathes of low level hit scanners with the trusty single barrel shotgun rather than arena based high level monsters.

Inspired by watching John Romero building Sigil 2, I decided to dust off this wad and give it some polish:

* Improved texture choice and alignment

* Added detail

* New secrets

* Playtest and balance for challenging UV pistol starts

* Open up some areas to support faster playstyles

COMPLEVEL 3 Limit Removing or if you don't know what that is just play it in GZDOOM.

This wad started out in the 90s as Rave Doom and then was lost in a hard disk crash

In 2001 I found a backup with everything but e1m8 which I rebuilt and released as Slave Doom and then lost the file again

In 2023 I found Slave Doom on an old wads site and upgraded it to make Grave Doom

Episode 2 contains death match levels and an early version of e1m9 which are untouched since the Slave Doom release
